Aaliyah Dana Haughton and Aarti Mann

Aaliyah Dana Haaughton rose to notoriety after she released her debut album Age Ain't Nothing More Than A Number in the year 1994. At the age of 15 the album was awarded Gold status. R. Kelly heavily influenced the group and helped bring the artist up to the top of the charts. She collaborated in 1996 together with Jermaine Dupri and Timbaland for her second album One In A Million which contained the number-one hit single If Your Girl Could Only Know. Aaliyah's second album called One in a million was released in 1996. It included the first song, a huge hit, If Your Girl Only Knew. In 2000 she appeared as a character in Romeo Must Die, a romance/action movie with Jet-Li. Joel Silver, film producer and director of the movie Romeo Must Die, spotted her during an awards event. The film she was in was the Anne Rice-based vampire film Queen of the Damned, it came out in 2002. The Matrix Sequels followed, with Zee as the lead character. She also appeared in several commercials, including Volvo and many other major car companies. The actress lives in Los Angeles with her husband and daughter.
