Jeanie Marie Buss is an American businesswoman from the United States. She is currently the president of president of the Los Angeles Lakers, the NBA's majority owners. Buss born in California, grew up with an impressive background. Jerry Buss is her father. He was an estate tycoon, and later the owner of Lakers as well as other companies. When her parents split in 1972, she began to feel as if she was abandoned. At the age 19 she was appointed the General Manager of Los Angeles Strings, a professional tennis team. The team was later renamed her own Los Angeles Blades professional roller hockey team. Before she became vice president of the Lakers She was also the president of Great Western Forum. Buss, her five siblings and brothers as well as their father, who owned the Lakers and was their controlling shareholder until his death in 2013, took over the ownership via the trust. They each enjoyed the same voting rights. She was named president of Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also co-owner of Women of Wrestling a pro-wrestling promotion that is based within Los Angeles.
